I am new to cake making. My grandmother used to bake cakes when I was little and would teach me how to pipe on a tea saucer while she did the big wedding cakes. Before she passed 4 years ago, she gave me all of her tools and pans in the hope that I might enjoy making cakes for our family. So that's what I have done! A year ago I made my first real decorated train cake (I am 100% self taught) for my Godson. It was based on something similar on Pintrest. While it was far from perfect, it tasted just like my grandmothers and was a very good first try. I'm looking forward to getting better and learning all that I can.
